About our Opportunity

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Wound Physician to join our practice located in Mason City, Iowa.

MercyOne Vascular and Wound Center has an established referral base and draws from a 15-county network of about 260,000 across northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. Join the team of 1 Vascular Medicine Physician and 1 WOCN certified ARNP. The Vascular and Wound Center houses the hospital's two Hyberbaric Chambers and all other wound care equipment and staff in one centralized space, including ultrasound capability in the department. The Wound Center is an outpatient program that focuses on chronic and non-healing wounds. Using advanced treatment modalities and a case management model, we help patients improve the qualify of their lives. In partnership with physicians, certified wound nurses, and multiple medicine disciplines, we provide invaluable care for patients.

JOB SUMMARY

A Physician in the Vascular and Wound Center who provides quality patient care while overseeing hyperbaric oxygen and advanced practice providers.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

1. Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.

2. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible.

3. Must be able to obtain MercOne- North Iowa medical staff privileges.

4. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team.

5. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowaphysician license;Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate

6. Certified in Wound Care and Hyperbaric oxygen or obtain within 1 year of employment
