We are currently seeking experienced materials specialist to join our World Material Flow (WMF) team. The function of this role is to understand delays from suppliers and help expedite production parts from the CNH NA supply base to support global CNH production facilities.

The WMF Materials Specialist is responsible for supplier communications and follow-up activities to ensure a smooth supply of parts to overseas production facilities. You will support and interact directly with production planners in Europe, Latin America, and China, communicating their requirements into directions to the supplier, receiving, consolidation, and transportation contacts. You will be responsible for collecting and following shipping promises, and resolving order exceptions. You will monitor KPIs every week and proactively adjust and target supplier and plant improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material orders against a defined group of North American suppliers
  • Proactively gather shipping promises and confirm shipments and receipts
  • Co-ordinate escalation meetings with critical suppliers understanding the root cause of the delay and providing solutions to destination plants to mitigate production risks
  • Determine and direct best shipping method to meet plant production needs
  • Communicate order delay/concerns with CNH plant planners to determine criticality
  • Direct CNH inbound logistic and consolidation centers of expedite requirements
  • Support and participate in standard practices and process improvements
  • Monitor and improve supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (Kaizens) to drive cost savings, process and service level improvements
  • This position pays $68,000 - $85,000


Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree (i.e. Supply Chain, Material Management, Logistics, or similar) or High School diploma with 6+ years experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar and/or highly relevant role in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of technical expertise in running and creating Microsoft Excel and Access reports
