SUMMARY:
The Water Management Quality Coordinator assists in the delivery, application, control and documentation of Chlorine Dioxide (CLO2) generation for the RRH system. The duties also include cooling tower water monitoring and recording and assistance in the weekly documentation of oil tank levels as needed.

STATUS: Part Time

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: RGH Power Plant

SCHEDULE: Day Shift- Monday through Friday

ATTRIBUTES
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Prior experience in water treatment applications in a health care/industrial or commercial environment
  • Specific experience handling and or managing CLO2 generation and distribution preferred
  • Required to participate in training session provided by Rochester General Hospital chemical vendor to acquire an overall knowledge of Legionella and other waterborne pathogens, understanding the importance of the water treatment used.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the coordination of delivery and Chemical Drum distribution at Rochester General Hospital to the proper areas and transfer, switch out drums when needed.
• Troubleshooting CL02 generators and make minor repairs and adjustments to the systems at Rochester General Hospital.
• Interpretation & reading of CL02 generators and pumps to optimize water quality at Rochester General Hospital & making adjustments as needed.
• Recording and documentation of findings of CL02 generation system parameters and report to management as needed.
• Testing cooling tower water at Rochester General Hospital for target levels of chemical treatment in water.
• Assist in the collecting oil slips from Autostik Jrs monitoring equipment and document oil/fuel tank levels weekly.
• Assist with Legionella water sample collection and testing as required

REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Pesticides Applicator/Technician Certification or ability to obtain within 3-6 months of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • CCPA - Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator - New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)
  • CCPT - Certified Commercial Pesticide Technician - New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)
PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $29.50

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
