The duties of a Wastewater Truck Driver include transporting, loading, and unloading equipment and providing pumping service for septic tanks. Your responsibilities consist of locating and digging out septic tanks. As a Wastewater Truck Driver, you typically drive a route and service septic tank clients.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

This position will be willing and able to perform the following duties and others as assigned:

  • Drive septic pump truck(s)
  • Locate and dig up septic tanks
  • Leave customers property in a clean and neat manner
  • Pump restaurant grease traps
  • Clean and maintain pump truck inside and out
  • Daily pre and post trip vehicle and equipment checks
  • Complete paperwork pricing
  • Comply with rules and regulations at disposal plants
  • Must be able to perform a variety of manual labor
Experience, Education, and Certification Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: Two to three years' operating a septic tank truck

Driver's License: Hold a valid Oregon Class A or B driver's license with a tanker endorsement. Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by Company insurance carrier; Familiar with safety practices and rules applicable to job duties.

Physical Demands:

Has muscular coordination and fully body mobility for bending, stooping, lifting and raising objections to a maximum of 65 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Have hand, wrist, and arm dexterity for working with tools in tight spaces. Frequently works outside and may be subjected to adverse working conditions, inclement weather, and extended hours.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee works outdoors and drives around in a vehicle; employee may be subject to adverse weather and environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, humidity and precipitation; noise and vibration from heavy equipment; exposure to physical hazards from equipment with moving parts, and hazardous chemicals.

PAY:

$25-$30
