In working with some of the largest Grocery and Convenience store chains in the world, this position is responsible for creating strategies that align our customers' needs with Welbilt brand solutions to maximize share, profitability, and growth for our shareholders. This will require working cross functionally with our Welbilt operating companies to include our engineering, culinary, service and product management resources.

Reporting directly to the VP Global Accounts, this position is based in New Port Richey, FL but can be located remotely in the US.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Leads in the execution of sales/customer strategies in compliance with policies and processes and procedures of the business.
  • Builds/strengthens relationships with key internal/external business partners to deliver industry leading solutions for customers.
  • Develops/builds relationships with strategic customers (end users) to develop and grow the business.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fulfills the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in the position. Performs duties and responsibilities within the parameters of the company's business ethics policy.
  • Responsible for achieving annual revenue and profit targets for the assigned account(s).
  • Develops, executes defined sales policies, processes and procedures consistently across country.
  • Builds relationships with key business partners (buying groups, dealers, consultants, authorized servicers, factories).
  • Provides information to key customers/business partners to meet their profit and growth objectives of the Company.
  • Develops effective strategic plans for optimizing global accounts potential and achieving/maintaining preferred or key supplier status.
  • Develops pricing strategies and price positioning that optimizes volume, revenue and profit for the Company.
  • Develops annual sales plan with regional/individual targets.
  • Coordinates Account Team comprised of commercial and support staff from Product Line personnel to respond fully and quickly to brand requirements. Partners with Strategic Account Brands personnel at Corporate and Regional levels to determine project-specific needs; insures Welbilt involvement to provide solutions and/or new equipment to meet those needs.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree: preferably in Business, Marketing or relevant field, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Global Accounts; extensive sales and commercial experience and chain accounts is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with grocery and convenience store accounts.
  • Will consider a minimum of 19 years of experience in Global Accounts; extensive sales and commercial experience and chain accounts in lieu of degree.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Industry knowledge, negotiation skills, communication skills, business/financial acumen, Microsoft Office software.
  • Technically adept at using Microsoft Office programs and communicating via cell and email.
  • Strategic thinking capability; articulate communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Extensive experience and comfort with public speaking and presentations.
  • Well-developed business perspective based on multi-chain experiences.
  • Problem-solving talent and an eye for innovation.
Working conditions:
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time is required.
  • Ability to work non-traditional business hours (early am/late pm meetings) with customers or at events.
  • Remote communication via cell, laptop, PDAs essential.
  • Weekend work expected.
  • Incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear and speak with clear diction and is frequently required to sit for extended periods.
  • Extended standing during customer visits required.
  • Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs.
