Job Description: VMware Engineer
Location: REMOTE
Position Type: 6+ Month Contract/Contract to hire potential

Our client is looking for a skilled Virtualization Engineer to join their team remotely! This person will be part of the Managed Services team, so any type of managed services experience is highly preferred. This person must be a self-starter who is enthusiastic, and customer focused.

Main Technologies: VMware, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure

More detail:

• Experience in virtualization management, VMware 7.x, 6.x and 5.x, Nutanix and Cisco HX

• Experience and knowledge of VMware vCenter Server Appliance, VMware vSAN, Cisco UCS Manager and Cisco HyperFlex

• Good understanding of SAN/NAS technologies including EMC, Netapp and IBM and networking technologies

• Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure including Nutanix and Hyperflex

• Ability to manage and deploy operating system changes.

• Demonstrate complex problem solving, inductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem sensitivity at work and in personal circumstances

• Strong technical aptitude demonstrated by successful completion of technical certifications, individual mastery of technical topics, or by success in technology-related internships

• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, customers and vendors

• Experience with Service Desk systems such as ServiceNow

• Demonstrate technical capabilities and solution offerings for virtualization in the data center, on the desktop, and in the cloud

• Excellent communication skills.
