ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will need to work on-site in Charlotte health center to provide virtual care
  • Uses nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, oversee patient scheduling, assist in gathering patient information, and assist with directing patients to needed services, treatment. Critical to this function is the ability to determine whether patient complaints and needs can be addressed virtually.
  • Conducts a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and demographics. Promotes use of Everside technology resources with patients.
  • Collaborates with Everside Provider(s)
  • Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications, discharge instructions and follow up care arranged.
  • Identifies emergency situations and provides advice within legal scope of practice.
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidential patient information.
  • Participates in follow up phone calls and follow up patient visits as needed. Able to communicate clearly via telephone or virtual options with patients. Responds to calls from patients, pharmacies, other healthcare personnel/facilities, etc.
  • Provides follow-up with patients to ensure efficacy of interventions and directives
  • Coordinates and implements health promotion initiatives including health screenings, health assessments and health-related counseling/education
  • Documents all encounters in the computerized medical record accurately and completely
  • Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension.
  • Participate in all required Everside training and meetings and comply with organizational policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift maximum 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in climate-controlled office environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSN/RN from an accredited Nursing School or University
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Certification in Emergency Nursing, or Certificate in Case Management may be required.
  • At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, urgent care, occupational health clinic or other primary care/ambulatory care clinic.
  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
