Violence Prevention Program Coordinator

Research, design, implement, coordinate and assess primary gender and sexual violence (GSV) prevention and gender equity programming and initiatives informed by current research, feminist critical analysis, expert consensus, promising practices in the field, and aligned with the Center's mission, vision and values. Direct Certified Peer Educator program OR coordinate and manage the Center's assessment initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience (typically three to five years) with related program development and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to co-creating an equitable and inclusive environment, in collaboration with and accountability to members of racially and/or other marginalized communities
  • Extensive experience (typically one to three years) in training and managing volunteers and/or student staff/trainees.
  • Demonstrated working ability to effective transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communicate behaviors.
  • Experience training, mentoring and supervising student peer educators.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and online training platforms (Skype, Zoom).
  • Working knowledge of and ability to utilize various methods to deliver learning solutions for desired training outcomes as a trainer and/or teacher for college populations
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Higher Education/Student Development Gender/Women's Studies or other related field.
  • Professional work experience (typically one to three years) in gender and sexual violence services and/or prevention, and/or gender equity.
  • Formal training and/or certification as a Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence Advocate.
  • Experience teaching, training and/or advising college age men in fraternities and/or other student organizations, and/or student-athletes.
  • Linguistic and cultural fluency in more than one culture / language.
  • Training and/or certification in bystander intervention and other violence prevention education modalities
