Summary:

The Vice President of Information Technology will oversee the planning, development, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and security of the company’s information systems and processes. Leading a team of in-house IT professionals, the Vice President of IT is a key member of the company’s leadership team ensuring continuity of operations to meet customer goals while developing the strategic technology framework for its future.



Responsibilities:


* Develop multi-year system architecture and technology plan that supports business functions (Operations, Sales, Safety, Maintenance, Accounting, Billing, Payroll, etc.)




* Provide guidance on Network / Communications Infrastructure




* Remains current on all new technologies and makes recommendations to the CFO involving the company’s technical direction. Regularly updates the executive staff on new technologies and how they can help improve the Maxim portfolio. As well as, the status of current deployments.




* Lead new system implementations, support, and functionality development (Rentalman 12, Salesforce, OnBase, Custom In-House Applications)




* Develop technology roadmap that supports operational needs in an industry undergoing digital transformation.




* Maintain and improve IT Corporate Compliance standards and policies and procedures to ensure external audit requirements are exceeded.




* Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for all new capital spending and initiatives related to technology




* Maintain Disaster Recovery Plan




* Develop & maintain Cyber Security plan and system of controls




* Evaluate and select 3rd party consultants and vendors. Establish a contractual relationship with consultants and oversee business partner relationships.




* Provide development opportunities, career planning, and training for IT talent




* Monitor and report progress on IT projects, resource utilization, and performance to executive leadership.




* Identify and recommend new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; review requests for additional services and upgrades; and assess the company's costs and benefits.




* Develop a technology roadmap that supports operations (telematics, GPS, etc.)




* Lead the Operation Maximize “Technology as an Enabler” workstream




* Serve as IT business partner to regional vice presidents and other key vice president roles, including VP of Pricing & Sales Operations and VP of Fleet.




* Prepares and manages IT budget

* The VP should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field




* 8 years of experience in IT management role; experience in the crane rentals, construction, or manufacturing industry preferred.




* In-depth knowledge of Security, including VPN, ASA/PIX, IPSEC.




* In-depth knowledge of software development languages and methods: Object Oriented Programming, Agile, Waterfall, Procedural languages, IBM Mainframe, at least one Web 2.0 technology stack and Azure.




* Must have experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex large-scale networks.
