Job Summary:

Everest Re Group, Ltd. is seeking to hire a Vice President to join the Investment Management Team. The Investment Management Team consists of a small group of talented individuals working in a collegial and supportive environment.

The person in this role will be primarily responsible for overseeing the company's investments in private equity and other related investments. This person is expected to work in a highly collaborative manner with the investment team and colleagues in different divisions, including accounting, legal, tax, and treasury, among others.

Key responsibilities include sourcing new investments, conducting investment due diligence, negotiating deal terms, monitoring/reviewing existing investments, and preparing timely and accurate reporting. Other responsibilities include conducting market research, and attending annual meetings and industry conferences, among other things.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office, 2 remote with a preferred location of Warren. NJ.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating new investment opportunities in private equity
  • Reviewing/monitoring the existing private equity portfolio
  • Preparing timely and accurate reporting including performance tracking
  • Conducting regular on-site manager reviews
  • Sourcing top performing ESG private equity investments
  • Negotiating deal terms, fees, and other economics associated with new investments
  • Working with accounting, legal, tax, and other groups to ensure smooth onboarding of new investments and accurate bookkeeping of alterative assets
  • Working with the operations and risk team to ensure good data management and information flow

Job Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 8+ years of work experience in investment management
  • Background in private equity and investment banking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Hard-worker
  • CFA is a plus
  • MBA is a plus
  • Based in NJ/NY

For NYC Only: The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$250,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
