Overview

A vendor relationship manager is responsible for building and managing relationships with companies that supply

products and services to the organization. They will work to ensure that vendors meet or exceed their contractual

obligations by delivering quality products and services on time. The Vendor Relationship Manager will be central to

working with Procurement negotiating contracts, creating vendor standards, and finding the best available

vendors. In addition, work on projects to manage expense across our Print Facility as well as Operations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilites:

  • Manage and scale multiple vendor engagements across Print Facility and drive operational efficiencies and cost savings
  • Own vendor reporting and reviews and provide key updates to internal stakeholders and exec teams.
  • Own review and ensure satisfaction of all key scorecards established for vendors to adhere to in their SOWs - focusing on service levels, risks, issues, proactively identified opportunities and ideas for improvements
  • Support monthly and quarterly vendor status reporting, key supplier metrics, key risk indicators, performance metrics and periodic updates to key business stakeholders
  • Establish good partnership with vendor risk owners and coordinate closely with the vendor risk assessment team to ensure proper engagement and governance is being followed during the onboarding, due diligence phase of vendor management, as well as all phases of the vendor life cycle
  • Maintain proper information/documentation and records for both internal and external audits.
  • Support resolution of vendor activities, inquiries, issues, incidents, service requests, and escalations, etc...
  • Support various ad-hoc projects supporting program enhancements, process improvements, and other functions
  • Own execution of and satisfaction of all billing/invoicing, technology integrations/migrations, and business expansion/contraction support, as well as all, reduction, expansion, and termination of vendor SOW's. Manage vendor budget effectively (fixed & variable costs). This includes monitoring purchase orders, invoicing etc. to ensure that quarterly plans are met. And ensuring vendor invoices are submitted correctly and paid on time.
  • Verify vendors are fully compliant with all confidentiality and other agreements, as well as our Supplier Code of Conduct, and effectively manage escalations within and across internal and partner teams.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related field
  • 3 years of experience with project management or program management.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Need to display proven entrepreneurial skills, as a self-starter.
  • Must be comfortable in fast moving complicated environments.
  • Experience effectively engaging with leadership, facilitating discussions about change, influencing stakeholders, and reaching agreement.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment and manage priorities according to changing strategic objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and presentation skills.
