Value Stream Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Value Stream Manager for our plant in Carlisle, PA. The Value Stream Manager has management responsibility and the line-of-sight ownership focus for major processes within the Adhesives Plant 6 operations. This includes accountabilities for all products manufactured within their value stream process, all aspects of safety performance, product quality and quantity, personnel management and discipline, training, cost control/reduction, and continuous improvement. The Value Stream Manager will also be responsible for developing a strong team environment with clear and effective communications. This position serves as a key interface with a variety of support personnel including Plant Operations Management, other Value Stream Managers across the organization, R&D, Engineering, Technical Services, Scheduling, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm typically

Job Responsibilities:

* Value Stream Management, including the following processes:

* Mixers 1,2,3,4,5; Packaging; Warehouse; Rubber Chopper; FAST/DASH; FlexFAST
* Supervision, coaching, and development of associates
* Management of Production Supervisory team and Warehouse Leader
* Identifying and maintaining highest level of safety in Class 1, Division 1 rated manufacturing environment
* Quality of products
* Safety of associates, equipment, and processes
* Manufacturing costs and details
* Purchase Order Variance (POV) management
* Continuous improvement

* Hour-by-hour improvement
* Countermeasure identification and resolution
* Ownership of daily boardwalk process and Management for Daily Improvement (MDI)
* Participation in Carlisle Operating System (COS) leadership
* Sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives, countermeasures, and kaizen events
* Short and Long-Term production planning

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field and at least three years of experience in a manufacturing position with proven leadership or supervision skills
* Equivalent Experience: Associates Degree in Engineering or related technical field and at least five years of experience in a manufacturing position with proven leadership or supervision skills
