Staff Product Manager, SEO

Walmart is looking for a strong candidate for our Staff Product Manager, SEO role, to join our Product and Marketing Technology team. The Walmart SEO Product team builds digital SEO products across Walmart.com.

We're looking for a Principal Product Manager, SEO to help reimagine the way users discover our site through search engines through innovative tactics that drive discovery and conversion with best-in-class SEO tactics to drive organic search traffic across the business to Walmart.com.

Our Marketing team has flexibility on location, for most of our openings, you can live within driving distance to one of our hubs: Bentonville, AR, Hoboken, NJ, San Bruno, CA, Sunnyvale, CA or Los Angeles, CA. Preference is given to those on the West Coast. We're moving toward 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

  • You are passionate about search engines and SEO and use search engines heavily for e-commerce and research.
  • You always put the customer in the center, building experiences that benefit both users and search engines.
  • You are a team player, collaborate well and can lead without formal authority.
  • You are passionate about SEO, so full of new ideas, and understand how to translate SEO guidelines to product enhancements.
  • You like the challenge and know how to operate in areas with high-level of uncertainty.
  • You have sharp analytical mind, and you always use data to back-up your intuition.

You will make an impact by:
  • Defining and managing strategy and business objectives for highly complex products by identifying market opportunities, conducting benchmark studies and competitive assessments; developing business cases; and setting objectives and key performance indicators for products.
  • Driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Owning parts of our SEO strategy from start-to-finish, developing product capabilities focused on driving quality traffic to our websites and apps from search engines.
  • Owning and driving key SEO pillar(s)
  • Contributing to a comprehensive SEO roadmap
  • Conducting regular audits to identify SEO issues and recommend fixes.
  • Working with engineering teams to build, optimize, and enhance site architecture
  • Driving SEO related UX/Website redesigns
  • Driving large-scale organic SEO feature improvements to provide a deep and wide breadth of scalable content
  • Recommending and defining requirements to implement technical SEO improvements on the site
  • Working with others within the company and evangelize the SEO strategy

Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of SEO experience
  • 6-8 years of product experience
  • Track record of developing and implementing successful SEO plans and strategies
  • Advanced understanding of technical SEO concepts (crawling, indexing, rendering, site migrations, page speed optimization, core web vitals and more)
  • Experience working on a large e-commerce website and understands the challenges of scale
  • Knowledge of standard and current SEO practices
  • Experience with Google Business Profiles and other local opportunities
  • Ability to analyze high volumes of data daily
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and CSS as they impact search performance
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO research tools (Keyword Discovery Tools, Crawling Tools , etc.)
  • Familiarity with Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
