The Saint Alphonsus Trauma Services Team is now hiring a part-time intern for the current Spring semester 2022!
The Internship Details:
As an intern with the Trauma Services Team, you will work alongside the Trauma Team to assess and analyze data and processes, determine opportunities for improvement, and deliver projects that address a need within the program.
Work Schedule:
This position will work less than part-time hours during the work week, Monday - Friday, and within the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, for 12 to 16 weeks during the current spring semester.
This position is temporary duration and is not eligible for benefits.
Internship Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree (master's preferred) in Health Sciences or related field.
- An interest and enthusiasm to work in the healthcare field.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and juggle various projects.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge of Office 365, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
- 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Participates in the department's day to day operations including providing general administrative assistance and support.
- Assists leadership in identifying areas for process improvement and makes recommendations for streamlining processes.
- Prioritizes multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion.
- Performs special projects and other analytical assignments.
