Position Summary::

The Mathematics Department at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College has openings for part-time Mathematics Instructional Support Assistants for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.

All developmental math classes are taught in computer classrooms enabling students to advance at their own pace working within Blackboard. There will be an instructional support assistant in each classroom with the instructor.

Curriculum support classes are taught in a hybrid setting. Students enrolled in the MAT 071 and MAT 052 support courses will have a computer classroom available for additional support. The support will consist of assistance in their PreCalculus and Statistics course on current material, utilizing WebAssign. There will be an instructional support assistant in the support classroom to assist students.

The teaching assistant's main responsibility is to provide instruction to students. Additional duties include assisting the instructor with classroom management and other responsibilities.

Staff Required Education/Experience::

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E. D.)and have the recommendation of an instructor in the class or subject matter.
