Towson University is accepting applications for a Transfer Admissions Counselor. This position will serve as an official representative of Towson University at transfer fairs, community college and TU recruitment events and will hold regularly scheduled visits at community colleges to counsel prospective students on transfer to TU.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a member of the Transfer Team, the selected individual will aid in the successful strategic planning and recruitment of qualified students from inside and outside the state of Maryland and will be responsible for reviewing admission applications, providing pre-transfer advising and evaluating transfer credit. Major responsibilities include: meeting recruitment goals for enrollment; providing accurate information about the University to prospective students and their families; assisting with various marketing activities; counseling prospective and currently enrolled students regarding admission requirements, transfer of credit, and academic planning; applicant file evaluation; transfer credit evaluation; and a variety of administrative activities as assigned. Travel is required as well as periodic evening and weekend work.
