Training & Development Program Manager

Opportunity

The Manager will be responsible for the creation of a 5-year training roadmap, leading to a World Class training organization, and will champion curriculum design, development, delivery, facilitation, and training evaluations for Dealer sales, installation, and operations associates. This includes centralized, "train the trainer", field, videos, and online training applications. Additional responsibilities include the design and management of a training center as well as the design and governance of training certifications.The current audience is approximately 250 in-home sales and 400 installation associates.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Create a 5-year, training roadmap, leading to a World Class training organization, designed to rapidly on-board and maintain Dealer performance, driving profitable growth in this new channel.
  • Responsible for the curriculum design, development, delivery, facilitation, and training evaluations for Dealer in-home sales, installation, and operations associates.
  • Design and development of consumer facing sales training.
  • Design and development of the KOHLER in-home sales presentation which includes the 10-step selling process, while still increasing KOHLER Brand value.
  • Design and develop bath systems installation training inclusive of product specific needs and field installation scenarios.
  • Design and develop Dealer operations training that directly relates to Kohler Co. transactions such as material procurement.
  • Design and maintain a training facility for both sales and installation containing home and bath mock-ups, products, tools, working displays, and flexible learning spaces.
  • Design and develop blended learning solutions to include instructor led classrooms, in market training, videos, print, and virtual media.
  • Create, maintain, and govern the KOHLER sales and installation certification program.
  • Assist in planning and implementing training events.
  • Leverage and maintain internal and external relationships to include experts in selling best practices.
  • Leverage relationships with internal and external experts to include KOHLER product teams, engineers, and NPD resources as well as field experts such as Dealer installation managers, plumbers and tradespersons.
  •  Take the lead for recommending, developing, and implementing skills gap closures for Dealer associates.
  • Accountable to create and maintain learning metrics that directly correlate to sales and profitability within the channel.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university plus three to five years of successful training and development experience, preferably in consumer facing sales channels; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience in an adult-learning, training, or instructional design field highly desirable.
  • This position requires 20-25% travel.
