Tanager, Inc., is an information technology company that provides quality products and services to our customers nationwide. We currently have openings for Tier 2 IT Help Desk Support Technician to service one of our fortune 500 customers.


This position involves direct communication and support to ensure readiness to cut over remote sites across the United States to a new technical solution. Excellent communication skills are necessary along with attention to detail, reliability, and desire to service the customer in the utmost professional manner.

Duties include:

  • Handle scheduling activity as it pertains to the customer site
  • Serve as main contact to customer for initial scheduling, delays, rescheduling, or other matters
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of all site scheduling activity on various spreadsheets and reports
  • Advance preparation for staging of locations (configure required files and tools)
  • Remote software installations for customer sites
  • Testing and troubleshooting technical deployments
  • Work with customer site personnel via phone to ensure readiness for technical cutovers
  • Work with 3rd party vendors for support
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key Skills:
  • Familiarity with Windows & Microsoft office environment
  • Ability to follow SOP's and a detailed checklist
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project positive and cooperative attitude and professional interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (Windows and basic networking)
  • Ability to record and maintain detailed records efficiently and accurately
  • Basic understanding of Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 operating systems
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities independently and work in a team environment
  • 2 - 3 years of related job-related IT experience
  • Consideration may be given to a college level IT degree in lieu of experience (i.e., - IT related AA degree = 2 years of IT work experience)
  • Experience is to include customer service and IT support (i.e., help desk functions)
  • Experience with Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 operating systems
  • Software installation experience
  • IT hospitality industry experience highly desired
