Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives manual tickets, reviews manual tickets for postmark date adherence, and keys invoices into the manual ticket portal.
  • Escalates overdue tickets as necessary.
  • Sends out pre-printed tickets on a regular basis and handles requests for immediate tickets.
  • Reviews and confirms commissions due to Distributors for product delivered to Reddy Ice customers.
  • Runs the weekly reimbursement process for submission to Accounts Payable.
  • Handles calls from and communicates with Distributors to ensure data accuracy and integrity within the end-to-end billing process.
  • Develop effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve ticket processes by identifying recurring issues encountered; communicates suggestions for process improvement to supervisor.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency a compliance orientation in all activities.
  • Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

CONTACTS:

Internal: Works directly with Accounts Receivable, Payable and Information Technology staff, corporate office financial management, several levels of general sales management and office personnel in plant facilities.

External: Reddy Ice Finance and Operations personnel, Co-packers, and Distributors.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Two or more years of experience in a customer service role.
  • Basic proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounts payable software.
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute
  • Basic math skills, and the ability to analyze reports and identify trends, is required for this position,
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

No travel is required for this position. This position may require overtime since weekend and evening work may be required. Typical office environment, generally sedentary position using computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships and reason through complex business situations is essential.
