With continual growth comes opportunity and Sargent has an immediate opening for a Test Technician I.

Purpose and Scope: This position supports operational excellence in the building and testing of hydraulic components. This role entails collaboration with various members of the Sargent hydraulics team to meet organizational goals while furthering productivity, quality, and continuous improvement. The primary functions of this position are to assemble and test hydraulic components.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and test hydraulic components, including control valves and actuators
  • Ensure that all work performed complies with Sargent procedures, drawings, work instructions and quality policies, as well as customer and regulatory requirements
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify tooling and instructions needed to improve the assembly and test process
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
  • Comply with FOD and tooling control standards
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential to success in this position
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required

Required Education, Skills & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to use hand tools and lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints and engineering drawings
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a cross-functional team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment in order to meet customer needs
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
