Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

$62,417.00-$99,867.00

Summary:

As a Test Development Engineer, you will be focused on automating the testing of software executing on Windows and Linux environments. You will join a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment where learning and teaching of skills is encouraged. You will strive to automate everything possible. You will work with the development and testing teams to further grow and enhance our functional and performance automation test coverage. We are looking for a team member who is passionate about automation, product quality test tools, test processes, product features and ensuring the right test strategy is built into the business to deliver quality services to our customers. It will be the Software Test Engineer's responsibility to develop and enhance test automation frameworks, tools and explore new test automation tools/methods. You will be joining a remote team, so location is not essential. This is a full time position, the core hours being 9am-5pm CST. You may also be required to work extra hours if needed.

Position Details:

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Responsible for testing new or modified software to ensure a level of quality and conformance to requirement and established standards.
• Develop test methods, software and hardware design, install software and develop automation in coordination with development team (knowledge if Visual Studio, C# and Specflow is a great plus).
• Initiate and drive the development and review of test processes, plans and procedures following CSGI test platform.
• Execute tests against hardware and software to validate features, functionality and performance
• Identifying, analyzing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing
• Support the ongoing problem resolution and upgrade of current production automated and semi-automated test systems
• Document results and work closely with developers and others to analyze and debug issues
• Research, recommend and develop new test automation frameworks and tools
• Utilize continuous integration tools such as Jenkins to execute automated tests

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance Testing experience is required.
• 2+ years of testing automation and 2+ years of experience with scripting test automation tools.
• 2+ years preferred experience working with programming languages (C# Script, PowerShell) and relational database systems, including SQL query development.
• Exposure to WCF services and XML is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience with performance testing with tools.
• Must have excellent written and communication skills.
• Experience with automated acceptance tests is desired (ATTD, SpecFlow, BDD…).
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment (Agile Environment/Scrum is desired).
• Must have good project management skills, keen attention to detail and self-direction and work with minimum supervision.
