The Teleservices Account Manager (TAM) will serve Miele dealers by providing sales and services to an assigned account base territory to achieve assigned objectives. The role is responsible for developing account penetration in expectation of achieving the Company goals.

Essential Functions:

The Teleservices Account Manager will liaise with dealers for the purpose of managing the relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Miele products and services via phone, e-mail, and virtual meetings.

Based on the assigned territory, the TAM will canvas the market for new sales and participate with the field sales team, Territory Managers (TM's) and Regional Managers (RM's) providing sales, support, and education.

  • Execute the sales and marketing plan, tactics and messaging set forth and agreed to by sales and marketing.
  • Meet the assigned sales call plan.
  • Maintain the integrity of the national field sales territory alignment. This includes aligning customers (i.e. new customers, address changes, etc.) to the correct Territory Manager. (not sure they would be doing this for other Divisions)
  • Ensure follow-ups for all leads generated are contacted in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and implementation of sales reporting systems.
  • Work with distribution warehouses (direct and indirect) to ensure timely distribution of product.
  • Work cross-functionally to address dealer and/or RM/TM customer complaints, questions, and inquiries.
  • Ensure all requests are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Grow dealer accounts to elevate/migrate accounts to RM/TM accounts based on revenue and volume qualifications.
  • Drive strong customer satisfaction in all assigned and RM/TM accounts.
  • Participate in Regional, Territory and National sales meetings to assure strong alignment and collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
  • Complete all administrative duties required for the position. Assist the Sales Operations Department in managing and maintaining the customer account database.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field
  • Experience working directly with Sales, Operations, Finance Teams
  • Understanding of Small Domestic Appliances, Major Domestic Appliances, Service and Parts a plus
  • Working knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office, CRM), SAP a plus
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation and public speaking skills
    • Must speak clearly, have a strong telephone presence and assert oneself with a sense of confidence, conviction and enthusiasm.
    • Must be able to handle rejection and learn to adapt alternative approaches.
  • Possess a persistent attitude in identifying customer accounts, discovering customer needs and problems.
  • Effective time management skills and strong organizational skills
  • 5+ years working with senior/executive level management
  • 10+ years of customer service experience a must
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidentiality
