Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble products that meet quality and quantity standards in an efficient manner
  • Performs Preventative Maintenance task in assigned Value Stream
  • Diagnose failure modes of manufacturing equipment
  • Maintains Preventative Maintenance data
  • Works and participates on special projects or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assists in creating and facilitating training for the Assembly team
  • Demonstrated knowledge and performance in electrical and mechanical skills
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
  • Offer enhancement ideas to existing processes and continuous improvement efforts
  • Reliability - on time arrival and departures; open to consider overtime based on business needs.


Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School or GED
  • Post high school Electrical training or Associates degree in related technology


Skills and Abilities

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Due to the variety of tasks noted above, and in support of continuous improvement, skill requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • TECHNICAL ABILITY - effectively apply written/verbal instructions from procedures, documents, prints/schematics etc. Apply math skills appropriate for the assigned task; the use of basic computer skills; must have experience building Adhesive application equipment.
  • ABILITY TO LEARN - assimilating and applying new, job related information in a timely manner
  • ADAPTABILITY - maintaining effectiveness in changing environments, assignments, responsibilities and/or priorities
  • ABILITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS - cooperating and communicating effectively with co-workers toward the successful accomplishment of the task assigned. Ability to accept and give constructive criticism

  • Strong technical knowledge of Nordson products
  • Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
  • Ability to trouble shoot technical problems
  • Advanced technical ability
  • Desire for career growth
  • Above average attention to detail
  • Prior completion of electrical/technical certificates
  • Willingness to pursue more electrical/technical certificates
