Job Summary:

As a key member of the Avnet® Digital Supply Chain Innovation team, this role will drive delivery of a wide variety of technical solutions allowing Avnet Velocity® to exceed expectations for some of the largest companies in the world. From the early stages of solution discovery, this role will work alongside the supply chain solutions teams to design, architect, perform risk analysis, and manage the development and delivery of the solution while adhering to strict timelines.
The role will require insight and understanding of digital supply chain "best practices" and keep pace with the competition and peer companies. In addition to that, the role also requires extensive collaboration with internal business units, and external customers at times, to ensure delivery of robust, scalable and high-performance solutions within the global application portfolio. Within the Velocity team, the candidate will work alongside business analysts, data scientists and enterprise architects to identify opportunities to streamline existing solutions, reporting etc. to achieve operational efficiency across the various business units within the team.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Ability to apply technology solutions using Agile Design Principles to solve complex business problems and communicate solutions effectively
• Lead thought leadership in providing software architecture solutions and services that align with the business goals and objectives of the team
• Responsible for hands-on solution architecture, design, development, and delivery of Digital Supply Chain initiatives in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Technology roadmap
• Provide working prototypes to confirm feasibility of technical solutions for hosting apps on the cloud or local storage for internal teams and external customers
• Ensure solution is scalable and meets overall business requirements
• Act as a liaison on behalf of the Digital Supply Chain team and collaborate with Technical, Functional, Business, Data and Integration teams for risk analysis and advice on solutions to solve everyday customer challenges and problems
• Create an integration architecture strategy that focuses in solving real-world supply chain challenges for the customers.
• Define conceptual approaches and interpret technical solutions to business units within the team
• Work closely with the Data Architecture and Solutions teams for delivery and maintenance of supply chain initiatives
• Evaluate currently established processes and implementations and propose models to achieve operational efficiency within the team
• Develop and govern software policies, standards and procedures
• Revise and approve test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and Technology strategy.
• Technical subject matter expert on Digitizing the Supply Chain initiatives for the Velocity Team

Job Level Specifications:

• Experience in hands on design, prototyping, development, configurations, testing and other implementation activities
• Experience with web technologies, databases, object-oriented software technologies, SDLC methodologies and knowledge of Cloud based architecture and implementations
• Knowledge /experience in publishing web apps on Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform
• Experience with Azure cognitive Search is a plus
• Experience and background in SAP a plus
• Experience working on Microsoft technologies like power apps is a plus
• Expertise with enterprise level system integration and system modernization
• Experience with Rest Services, SOAP
• Proven track record of successful implementations for Customer focused applications
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, agile environment with cross-functional teams
• Able to manage activities across multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment

Work Experience:

• Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
