Are you our next Technical Sales Manager?
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for creating a market for Mosaic's performance product fertilizers in their region. This role will manage the market creation process, work with customers to meet yearly sales goals and customer business partner plans and achieve Mosaic's long term strategies with Mosaic products. The assigned region for this position is Kansas, Eastern Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico with the focus on Kansas and Eastern Colorado.

What will you do?

  • Develop sales and marketing plan for Mosaic performance products. Work with Account Manager(s), Crop Nutrition Leads, NPD, PM and Marketing to execute our go to market strategy while supporting the value proposition based on performance, current customer segmentation, market trends and strategy.
  • Day to day customer support revolving around our performance products portfolio for that region, while positioning the agronomic value and assisting customers to maximize sales opportunities of our branded products.
  • Develop an annual calendar of training and marketing activities by customer/region. Organize technical and promotional events, Mosaic conferences/forums. Support and develop promotional materials and campaigns by customer/region.
  • Work with Account Managers to create budgets, forecasts, competitive product analysis, customer data transfer back to sales leadership and other cross functional areas. Document customer information in Sales Force.
  • Other job duties and projects as assigned.

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree required in Agronomy, Soil Science or related area.
  • CCA preferred
  • 5+ years of agricultural sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Retail experience, understanding of retail fertilizer trends and business operations. Will consider experience of 7+ years in lieu of bachelor degree in specified field.
  • Proven success in proprietary products or technology driven markets such as traits, specialized agronomic products and/or services preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong agronomic understanding..
  • Strong computer skills, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required
  • Experience with CRM tools - Salesforce preferred.
  • Exceptional customer relationships skills and adept at developing trust through listening and responsiveness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent team building and interpersonal skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Knowledge and experience with precision ag and variable rate fertilizer platforms.
  • Ability to travel at least 40-50% of the time.
