Meta is a greatly diverse company, with teams spread around the world working on many different products and systems - from engineers building a new Facebook or Instagram feature, sales partners putting together a compelling deck, and safety and security teams working on safeguarding users' experiences on our platforms. The Comms Measurement team is responsible for helping them communicate internal statistics related to their jobs with external audiences in an accurate and defensible manner. The team is also responsible for assessing the impact of the work from the broader Communications team. In this role, you will vet and provide feedback on public-facing initiatives that involve Meta internal data, including many of the major projects and initiatives being pursued company-wide. That means, for instance, performing risk assessment, triaging requests, checking queries, consulting specialists, providing strategic guidance, reframing statements, and more. You will also have the opportunity to conduct your own research in service of the Communication team. The ideal candidate has strong research and communications instincts - someone who can understand complex research but also knows how to best present insights to various audiences. They're also adept at calling attention to errors and potential red flags, even to company leadership, while being constructive in their advice and feedback. Being detail-oriented and having a critical eye are musts.

Technical Program Manager, Communications Measurement Team Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality by reviewing and providing feedback on work done by other analysts, data scientists, and PR leaders
  • Manage program triage, risk assessment, and escalations with company leadership
  • Conduct custom research in service of the Communications team that informs strategic decision making
  • Work with leaders in Investor Relations, Legal, Analytics, and Policy to enforce the highest quality research standards
  • Help craft data communications strategies and narratives around big product moments and events
  • Navigate complex internal processes, with focus on driving cross-functional consensus and delivering concrete results despite any potential roadblocks
  • Advance program improvements and tooling upgrades to increase efficiency and better serve our internal community


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated in research background and with at least 4+ years of work experience in quantitative research, statistics, or data analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or research-oriented field such as engineering, data science, social science, or related fields
  • Experience with statistical analysis, relational databases, and/or object-oriented programing languages
  • Demonstrated skills to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
  • Proven capacity to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated in competence to assess risk and manage escalations with leadership


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced technical degree or graduate degree in business, marketing, or related fields
  • On-the-job experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or working with public-facing teams
  • Experience with corporate program management (particularly around Data Governance)
  • Experience in web development using languages and frameworks such as Javascript, PHP, and HTML
