Alteryx is searching for a Technical Product Manager. This role can be fully remote, or alternatively work out of either our offices in Broomfield, Colorado or Irvine, California.

Position Overview:

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to help drive delivery execution of new administration solutions for the Alteryx product suite. Alteryx products allows analysts and data scientists alike to prep, blend, model, analyze, and extract insights from their data through analytics apps, reports, machine learning, workflows and more. A successful Technical Product Manager will focus on translating the business value of product initiatives into functional features and user stories, work daily with development teams to deliver business value, and drive new features from ideation through successful delivery. This position is part of Alteryx's Administrator Experience team.

The Administrator Experience (AE) team supplies licensing, entitlement and billing solutions for Alteryx on premise and cloud products. The AE team is part of the Alteryx Platform team building the foundation for future Alteryx products. Historical proficiency in building technical data-driven products, and a creative, disruptive mindset for innovation are keys to success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with one or more development teams to organize and manage large scope projects through the product lifecycle; participate in team ceremonies including stand-ups, story refinements, and team retrospectives to align the team towards a successful delivery cycle
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to understand product goals, help prioritize initiatives and communicate their value to internal stakeholders (i.e., development, QA, UX)
  • Work with development team leaders to drive planning and own the process to break initiatives into feature and user story-level requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining a prioritized feature backlog and communicating priorities to the Development Team
  • Responsible for feature and user story acceptance, where features or stories have customer-facing value
  • Help to identify, manage, and communicate risks and dependencies across multiple teams

Required:
  • 1-3 years of Product Management or equivalent experience in the enterprise software industry
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to think critically and present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills - ability to break down initiative-level requirements into feature and story attribute level details
  • Effective documentation skills with the ability to articulate technical information
  • Influence cross-functional teams and lead teams without direct authority
  • Project delivery experience - ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Valued:
  • Domain knowledge within cloud software applications
  • Customer centric mindset in developing previous products - ensuring the right solution is built that adds value to end users
  • Experience utilizing technologies such as, Aha, JIRA, Confluence, Lucidchart, Tableau, Figma
  • Familiarity with Alteryx products

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, Colorado is $88,400 - $150,300. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
