All Sogeti Prospective Candidates Must:

Possess a Bachelors and/or Masters Degree from anaccredited institution.

Be a US Citizen or a current permanent resident Green Cardholder. Sponsorship now or in the future is unable to be provided for this role.

Be currently residing in the Chicagoland area. Non-localcandidates will NOT be considered as onsite will eventually be required.

Willingness to travel/commute throughout the entireChicagoland area possibly including to as Far North as Waukegan, once allowableand safe.

You will be an experienced, hands on Senior SoftwareDeveloper able to lead a team in creating proprietary systems and integrationAPIs. You will provide project, technology leadership and architecturaldirection to the development team across many front end and back end concurrentprojects and tasks.

We are looking for a bright minded, self-motivated, teamplayer with a strong background and skilled with a high degree of intellectualcuriosity and abilities with:

Hands-on design and development and helping to establishprocesses to enable successful delivery of software applications and systems.

Timely and effectively communicating your processimprovement insights to management.

Alerting management whenever a failure has the potential toimpact business operations.

Ensuring the culture is results-driven and morale of theteam is very positive, open, collaborative and honest.

Helping to keep the development team high productivity andthroughput.

Leading in creation, implementation and maintenance of theright development processes. Serving as a liaison between project managers anddevelopers. Being the "right-hand-person" of a Development Manager.

Collaborating with project managers and QA managers todeliver projects on time.

Upholding quality standards.

Ensuring that overall code is of the greatest quality andthat the development processes are effective and efficient.

Leading the development team in code reviews and total codeownership.

Providing Tier-3 application support to the developedsystems and integrations.

Technical Requirements & Specific Experience Needed:

Hands on experience with the following: Node.js, React.js,MongoDB, Redux, REST API, Git, JavaScript, Azure.

DevOps and CI/CD tools and processes.

Strong technical background to lead and approaches problemsin terms of a framework and reusable components creation with design patternsand best practices in mind.

Demonstrates QA focus and mindset whiledeveloping/delivering solutions (Test-Driven Development).

Knows how to design and code to satisfy functional and non-functionalrequirements, creating logical and physical architecture.

Ownership and accountability. Takes ownership for thetimely delivery, the mistakes and holds others accountable, if valid.

Collaborates with the Development Manager to regularlyreview the team working process and tools to meet future needs and takes actionas appropriate.

Ability to guide, mentor the development team with apositive mindset and a "can-do/find-a-way" attitude and help the team toresolve issues quickly.

Strong verbal/written skills and the ability to effectivelyinterface with internal business clients, operations teams, technicalengineering teams, internal audits, regulators and senior management.
