Purpose
Performs Process Associate responsibilities, monitors, coordinates and assists with day to day activities to ensure team meets required level of production or shipping. Observes, leads and recommends improvements. Responsible for all aspects of production training.

MIDNIGHT (3RD) SHIFT POSITION

This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Make decisions on production floor based on current production priorities as presented daily in scheduling updates.
  • Effectively lead the group of employees to reach Safety and Environmental, Quality and Production goals in a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Ability to troubleshoot SAP issues and resolve material and inventory discrepancies.
  • Understand how to run all production jobs and ability to supplement production by filling in on any job temporarily as required.
  • Firm understanding of standard work instructions and ensure all procedures are followed consistently on production floor.
  • Responsible for initial employee orientation for local plant policies and safety training. Also oversees training process to ensure employees are safe and producing quality parts until they are qualified to run the job alone.
  • Conduct weekly "stand up" safety meeting with employees to reinforce safety training and priorities.
  • Provide feedback for tam evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Regularly perform spot checks to ensure parts are within customer specifications.
  • Consistently perform quality and EHS audits as scheduled. Lead/Assist in resolution of any findings.
  • Actively participate in daily fast response, weekly scheduling. and monthly team, quality, EHS, team lead meetings.
  • Maintain a high skill level of fork truck and side loader to be able to pull material from yard and load onto saw beds for production cutting.
  • Manage operative vacation days and maintain time and attendance records in Kronos.
  • Evaluate employees on a weekly basis for safety, quality, production and teamwork goals.
  • Flexible and willing to work various shifts/overtime as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equilavlent with 4 years' experience in manufacutring environment.
  • Associate degree in buisness or technical related with 2 years' experience in manufacutring environment.

Preferred Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equilavlent with 5 years' experience in manufacutring environment.
  • Associate degree in buisness or technical related with 4 years' experience in manufacutring environment.

Tehcnical/Functional Requirements:
  • Operations experience.
  • Computer skills.
  • Microsoft office.
  • Strong communication, written and verbal, skills
