Purpose/Responsibility:

Working Lead who will oversee operations of receiving department in a safe and efficient manner while achieving SQDC. Directly responsible for Receiving, Put away and Replenishment of product. Plan and coordinate the assignment of hourly team members to meet demands. Coordinate communication between the department and other levels of the plant.. Ensure the maintenance of all equipment and support equipment. Assist in training of hourly team members. Motivate and develop team to reach and exceed agreed upon objectives. Perform periodic review of their overall performance and progress toward meeting their objectives. Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping, for all team members. Perform other tasks as directed by the Supervisor, Operations Manager, and General Manager. Role model CITE principles. Overtime and weekend work required



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Maintain a safe working environment at all times, including housekeeping and compliance to safety rules.
* Demonstrate a general knowledge of all jobs in the department.
* Relieve team members when needed.
* Help where necessary to keep the department running smoothly.
* Attend to minor injuries and walk those more seriously injured to Supervisor to report injury.
* Make sure receiving area is clean at end of shift.
* Encourage team members and promote a positive attitude.
* Fill in for supervisor when needed.
* Learn new skills, support other team members, make improvements, and other actions to help the team achieve its goals.
* Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Operations Manager, and General
* Willing to be cross-trained and accept additional task when need arises to meet customer demands.
* Participate in 5S continuous improvements.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for facilitating communication in the hourly receiving team. Responsibilities include assisting the supervisor with training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.



Education, Experience and Skills:


* A high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is preferred.
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of warehouse receiving experience.
* Ability to operate a stand up and reach forklift and obtain certification
* Experience with roll back racks
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Makes independent judgments based on various alternatives. Performs complex procedures.
