We are looking for a Tax Consultant to join our Property Tax Team at Altus Group! This role will be reporting out of our Hunt Valley, Maryland or Southlake, Texas, Atlanta or Irvine office!

Job Responsibilities:
Day to day duties include independent analysis and project completion. Must be capable of determining next step in projects. The Senior Tax Consultant will also be responsible to train less experienced staff and provide guidance on analysis, as needed.

Project completion and data analysis:

-Independent analysis of data to assist with scope definition, appeal determination, and/or project completion.
-Provide recommendations to management for course appeal recommendations and/or next steps of a project or appeal.

-Once scope is defined, execution of steps to allow for project completion.

-Correspond with assessors and clients to gather information necessary for work completion.

-Implementation and execution of a project plan to meet scope requirements for routine or repeatable projects.

-Supervise employees, as appropriate, to ensure work completion.

-Communicate analysis results and status to supervisors and clients.

-Billing and monitoring project profitability.

-Ensure all systems are updated for projected revenue and timing, and staffing of personnel.

Supervision and training of others:

-Act as a first level resource for new/lesser experience staff for technical and analytical matters.

-Review the work product of others to ensure work is performed in accordance with Altus standards and project scope.

-Provide technical instruction and training to others on basic functions/analysis performed as part of Altus standard work product

Client service:

-Responsive to all client requests.

-Clearly communicate project status and information requests to the client in a way that promotes confidence in Altus work product. Involve supervisors as necessary in communication review or meetings depending on level of request.

Experience and Skills Required
-5+ years working in Property Tax, Commercial Real Estate, or a similar industry

-2+ years' experience in a consulting position
-Experience working within the Commercial Real Estate industry

-Strong project management skills

-Strong communication

-Problem solving

-Integrity

Salary begins at $60,000 USD and may increase depending on performance and experiences
