Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Lead works closely with members of the Guthrie Leadership Team to manage their functional recruiting needs. Recruiting and sourcing will focus on identifying top talent for our Novelis Guthrie plant in all departments. This position will also be responsible for setting the strategic direction of Novelis' sourcing strategies, various employer branding projects, and applicant tracking system (iCIMS) projects.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:

• Drive the sourcing and selection activities by creating a robust pipeline of talent for both current and future roles ultimately reducing time and cost to fill
• Work closely with the Hiring Managers and Human Resources to ensure the staffing of all open positions
• Develop cohesive recruiting strategies for critical technical talent supporting the development of talent pipelines
• Work with the Human Resources team to find opportunities for system improvements within iCIMS in order to drive efficiency in all recruiting processes
• Own the candidate experience from scheduling interviews, onsite logistics to follow up
• Increase overall employer brand awareness in the markets Novelis operates in and build engagement strategies for key prospective talent
• Identify and balance third party search firms when their services are necessary
• Lead and attend career events; handle preparation and logistics.

• Subject Matter Expert for our applicant tracking system; responsible for posting positions and disposition of candidates.
• Partner with mobility team for relocation of candidates, travel for interviews and expense reimbursement.
• Ad-hoc project and administration support as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of leadership that includes interviewing and selection of candidates and/or recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field is required
• Experience recruiting for a variety of functions preferred, i.e. Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain and EHS preferred
• Ability to run multiple requisitions while demonstrating a solid sense of urgency and reducing time to fill
• Working knowledge and experience with applicant tracking systems; iCIMS highly preferred
• Self-motivation to get results and complete tasks independently with a focus on process improvement
• High level of emotional maturity; comfortable with change and ambiguity
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work and interact with all levels of the organization
• Strong problem solving capability and ability to navigate priorities effectively while still maintaining a high level of attention to detail and a positive customer experience

• Ability to responsibly balance confidential and sensitive information
• A self-starter with initiative and desire to grow as an HR professional.

Location Profile

Novelis' Guthrie facility is located in Guthrie Kentucky approximately 30 minutes from the Tennessee state line near Clarksville Tennessee and Hopkinsville Kentucky. As Novelis' newest facility Guthrie will house a heat treatment and pretreatment line that will serve the North American automotive market and employ 125 residents. In addition to hunting fishing and hiking residents enjoy the Guthrie Transportation Museum which is the hub of the city's renewal efforts. The Guthrie team enjoys partnerships with Hopkinsville Community College Todd County High School Guthrie Fire Department and several local Rotary Clubs.
