The Global Strategic Sourcing - Indirect Procurement team is seeking an experienced Tail Spend Manager to execute and provide oversight of sourcing activities across multiple markets, sites and spend categories. The role requires a strong understanding of procurement policies and procedures to ensure competitive bidding and cost reductions are realized in an effective manner. The Tail Spend Manager will leverage Zoetis' purchase-to-pay systems (e.g., Guided/Spot Buying, Catalogs, Spend Management, etc.) and will play an active role in consolidating the supply base and ensuring high quality and service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare competitive bid packages or support tail-spend competitive bidding activities, including supplier due diligence, price negotiations and supplier onboarding, across multiple markets, sites and spend categories.
• Evaluate supplier bids/quotes to ensure alignment with cost targets, quality standard and service expections.
• Measure tail-spend metrics, conduct spend analytics, requisition/purchase order reports, contract repositories, etc. to identify cost savings, supplier consolidation opportunities, and guided-buying process improvements.
• Support tail-spend training and stakeholder communications; demonstrate end-to-end procurement process expertise.
• Communicates on a daily basis with business stakeholders, suppliers, and other corporate enabling functions (e.g., legal, risk and compliance, etc.) to enable a seamless and efficient tail spend procurement process.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a technical major or business concentration.
• Certified Purchasing Manager or equivalent credentials desirable.
• Significant experience using SAP Spend Management Suite (Ariba, Spend, Contracts, etc.).
• Proficient in analytics, negotiations, time-management and communications.
• 5+ years of tail spend management (and/or sourcing procurement) in an operational role.
• Regional work experience working across multiple category teams, site procurement and P2P shared services
