GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of Systems Integration Lead to join our Maryland Team.

This is a remote would require to be in the Baltimore office 3 days a week and work remote 2 days a week.
Position Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise in the most current principles and practices of architecture data management systems and experience in large system designs, and with data modeling in the information management arena.
  • Provides expertise in modeling and organizing information to facilitate support of projects or information architectures. Provides guidance on how and what to data and process model. Primarily deals with transition planning from legacy to modern systems by concentrating on information flows, data exchange, and data translation standardization services.
  • Ensuring continuity of service and highly effective coordination through all phases of the Compass project.
  • Ensuring consistency between systems and efficient integration with the ITS by providing oversight and technical analysis for the transition of the COM systems and data to be integrated with the ITS.
  • Ensuring appropriate knowledge transfer and training to the COM for all integration activities.
  • Ensuring all integration activities are documented appropriately.
  • Understand Mainframes and COBOL programming is a plus
General Experience:
  • At least ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT systems.
Specialized Experience:
  • At least five (5) years of the required ten (10) years of experience must be in the direct supervision and management of major projects that involve providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation and transition of large complex system and subsystem architectures. Must have led or been chief architect in major IT implementation efforts. Must demonstrate a broad understanding of client IT environmental issues and solutions and be a recognized expert within the IT industry. Must demonstrate advanced abilities to team and mentor and possess demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a technical lead role for three (3) or more data migration projects each with multi-phased implementations. Responsible for leading the efforts to cleanse and convert data, establish transitional interfaces as required, and retire systems.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience providing technical vision, strategy, and integration for multiple inter-related applications on various technology platforms in various levels of maturity.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a leadership role, designing, developing, and migrating financial systems or tax systems.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and implementing infrastructure improvements, in whole or incrementally.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in logical and physical data modeling and data integration, data migration and quality (assessment) management.
  • Experience cleansing and converting data from a mainframe DB2 database.
  • At least one (1) year experience participating in the implementation of an integrated tax system
  • Professional knowledge of federal and/or state tax administration.
  • At least one (1) year of demonstrated professional experience with application of Internal Revenue Service Publication 1075 tax information security guidelines.
  • At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience using State of Maryland's Department of Information Technology's (DoIT) guidelines, methodologies, and templates.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging agile solution teams at the program and portfolio levels.
  • Demonstrated experience serving in a leadership position on one (1) or more projects using agile methodology.
  • At least five (5) years of the experience in the design of business applications on complex IT systems
  • Requires a broad knowledge of data sources, data flow, system interactions, advanced computer equipment and software applications, and advanced systems design techniques to develop solutions to unyielding complex problems and to advise officials on systems design and IT forecasts.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Master's degree, ITIL, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist certification, and/or other relevant agile certification.
