Position Summary

MAG has an excellent opportunity for a proven Systems Engineer, Subject Matter Expert to support current and upcoming sub-system requirements. PdM WESS, Product Officer Wideband Control (PO WC) is responsible for the payload management and control of the DSCS and WGS satellite constellations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Provide Subject Matter Expertise to the Assistant Project Manager (APM) and Product Officer, Wideband Control (PO WC).
• Responsible for providing recommendations and solutions based on proven expertise.
• Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

• US Citizenship and must have a currently active Secret DoD Security Clearance
• Must have a software engineering background and demonstrated experience in software engineering analysis and workload and project management
• In-depth knowledge of SATCOM required
• The ability to provide clear, engineering-level reviews of vendor-provided data to assist the Government in determining program estimations (time, cost, labor) is required
• Must have a clear understanding of and demonstrated experience with the Government Software Lifecycle process to ensure the Government receives the necessary output from the vendor through Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) and other submitted documentation
• Must have the ability to communicate engineering analysis results clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Must have demonstrated experience in Agile software development process and Scaled-Agile Framework (SAFe) software design methodologies. For example, the candidate may be responsible for assisting the Government in reviewing vendor release cycle Sprints to ensure vendor deliverables are met.
• Must have experience with best practices for developing and maintaining cloud solutions and knowledge of Government security policies and best practices in cloud security.

The minimum years of related experience required: 8

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or associated field; advanced degree preferred but not required

Desired Requirements

• Proficiency in Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).

Other Qualifications

• Ability to work within an office or lab/field environment
