The Systems Engineer Associate-Electrical is an entry level or CO-OP. Their goal is to learn the estimating tools and processes in order to support the Systems Engineering team in compiling electrical costing and design documentation. They will also be learning to develop controls system and 480V power distribution design drawings, ensuring that the layout is functional and meets the customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review customer RFPs for basic electrical design components (building power availability, installation counts, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of the EE Est tool - ability to complete controls estimate for simple systems with some oversight.
  • Working knowledge of the EIS tool - ability to complete electrical installation estimate for simple systems with some oversight.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD - ability to navigate and modify 2D drawing files.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external contractors/vendors to receive input for new bids.
  • Attend internal bid review meetings, providing input as requested by Estimating management.
  • Assist with publishing as-sold documentation within the commercial handoff to execution.
  • Work with project teams to compile electrical costs for simple change orders.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of conveyor systems and controls/electrical architecture
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written, at all levels of the business and with customers.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 0-1+ years' experience in the conveyor industry.
  • 0-1+ years' Electrical design and Programming (PLC, GDU, HMI, etc.)

Other Qualifications Desired:
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Some prior electrical experience or equivalent

Physical Requirements:
  • General office environment with normal sitting, standing and minimal, nominal lifting.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required at customer locations.
  • Some climbing may be required at customer locations.

Other Relevant Information:
  • Valid Driver's License Required.
  • Valid Passport.

Travel Requirements:
  • Travel required, up to 5%.

The base salary range for this role is $55,800 to $83,700. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
