Switchboard Operator Duties and Responsibilities
Answer Incoming Calls
Switchboard operators answer incoming calls and redirect calls to the appropriate personnel or department within DOT in a timely manner, using DOT Directory and Outlook Directory.
Answer/Respond to internal & external DOT large volume telephone calls
Research internet explorer to assist customer with information.
Summit Monthly Reports in a timely manner.
Create weekly spreadsheet to record weekly call numbers.
Create weekly spreadsheet for operator’s daily numbers.
Record operators number daily in spreadsheet.
Research, collect, and verify directory information for customers and DOT personnel
Maintain DOT Directory (Ensuring numbers are good)
Ensuring appropriate staffing
Train new staff.
Schedule conference request in different locations and time zones. (One Time Conference, Recurring Conference and On-Demand
Create new accounts in the RSB
Update RSB for all out-processing DOT personnel.
Switchboard Operator Requirements and Qualifications
