Job Responsibilities:
Licensed Land Surveyor Pittsburgh, PA

DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE), is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety. With flexibility in location (NY, PA, MA, CT, RI) our fast-growing energy division is seeking thoughtful and highly motivated individuals to be part of our team.

The Licensed Land Surveyor will be primarily responsible for performing boundary, topographic, right of way and existing condition surveys in support of utility related projects.
This position will be required to perform the following functions:

  • Review and stamp prepared mapping
  • Manage various projects & staff
  • Utilize survey technologies to complete projects

Job Qualifications:
Skills and Experience

Required
  • Four years of related land survey work experience in the utility industry
  • Proficient with the survey technologies, robotic total stations, base/rover & network GPS units
  • Must be familiar with boundary, topographic, utility, right-of-way and existing condition surveys
  • Knowledge of land surveying practices, principles and techniques
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be licensed in the state of PA

Preferred
  • Familiar with AutoCAD for drafting and computations
  • Knowledge of Carlson SurvCE, Trimble or TopCon
  • Experience working on land development projects
  • Ability to complete Field to Finish work
