Position Overview

Novelis Oswego has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst! The primary purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with personnel in supply chain, operations, and other support-related teams within the organization to facilitate the macro planning process and associated activities related to creating and executing upon the Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP). In addition, synthesize complex data, analyze trends and utilize strong data visualizations to package information so its easily consumable & actionable.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the transformation of manual reporting tools into a holistic business intelligence environment automating manual work & improving efficiency.
  • Utilize functional and technical mastery and business knowledge to consistently improve processes and apply technology solutions to automate manual processes.
  • Perform plant productivity analysis by product line and machine center to determine accurate capacity assumptions.
  • Review capacity assumptions with operations leadership periodically to gain alignment.
  • Review S&OP plan with supply chain and operations teams to determine tactical feasibility, prepares and issues daily plans for manufacturing centers.
  • Create and update reports to compare SAP production requirements to S&OP allocations, works with teams to minimize variation.
  • Work with maintenance teams to schedule outages that best fit with Novelis sales, inventory, and capacity plans while also allowing for effective use of maintenance personnel.
  • Create and update reports including the monthly plant performance report and other ad hoc analyses to meet the needs of supply chain and plant management.
  • Responsible for inventory related activities including daily reporting, periodic system reconciliations, finance related requests, carry trade activities, and semi-annual physical inventory coordination.
  • Possess local expertise on the interaction and flow of supply chain related information between SAP and MIS systems and resolves transactional errors to ensure system accuracy.
  • Step up to and identifies issues and works to get problems resolved as it relates to the overall supply chain processes.
  • Perform weekend or off-hour support or reporting as required.
  • Support projects or rapid improvement events as required.
Qualifications
  • BS degree or relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated expertise in MS Office tools as well as database, business intelligence and related tools/technologies
  • Strong communication skills; written, oral, group facilitation.
  • Strong leadership characteristics that are balanced to Novelis' culture of collaboration and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Automotive industry is a plus)
  • Although not a requirement, candidate(s) would have hands-on expertise with modern supply chain management tools (e.g. Quintiq, sap APO, etc.) and/or SAP ERP.
