Responsibilities

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

This position supervises the Lead Analyst, Energy Buyers (Electric Focus) in all areas associated with energy-related transactions/activities in the NYISO, PJM, and ISO-NE energy
and capacity markets for NYSEG and RG&E. Including supervising the hedging of electric commodity supply and capacity for NYSEG and RG&E within risk management policies, each company's
rate structure and budget requirements. Establishes in-month supply and procurement strategy, and oversees load and price forecasting, generation bidding and transaction scheduling.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establishes in-month supply procurement strategy and actively oversees the execution of transactions to hedge each company's open positions within risk management guidelines.
Analyze strategies and/or structured transactions to minimize costs or produce profit to meet the supply procurement goals. Transactions must comply with risk management policies, comport
with the each company's rate structure, and support each company's budget goals. Oversee the resolution of billing issues for all NYISO, PJM, ISO-NE, Power Purchase Agreements,
and miscellaneous transactions.

2. Supervise the performance of short-term load forecasting, load bidding, generation bidding, demand response bidding, including the impact of distributed energy resources and
transaction scheduling in support of the goals for the Day-Ahead and Real-Time markets for NYSEG and RG&E. Oversee the generation of short-term load forecasts and schedule/acquire the
necessary physical power from the NYISO in the Day-Ahead Market. Generation output and bids submitted to the NYISO in the Day-Ahead Market. Oversee physical and financial transactions
internally to the NYISO, as well as external transactions with PJM and ISO-NE.

3. Supervise the creation and analysis of NYSEG and RG&E's Summer Preparedness and Winter Preparedness reports for to DPS Staff and the quarterly CoV reports for filing with the NY
Public Service Commission. Execute accurate budget development and variance reporting, developing responses, and completing other assigned tasks. Oversee the distribution of the Chairman's
Report daily and weekly and the Mark to Market reports weekly, monthly and as requested.

4. Coordinates amongst several groups for the scheduling of generation outages and reviews transmission outage data to minimize cost impacts. Where appropriate, actively oversee NUG
dispatch and spark spread transactions. Oversee the monitor real-time system load, generation and transactions, Gas Supply pipeline data and forecasting, distribution of generation schedules
from the NYISO and resolution of real-time billing issues within the Company's Energy/Commodity Trading Risk Management platform.

5. Oversee short-term price forecasts for NYISO and PJM Real-Time and Day-Ahead Markets, the purchase and sale of capacity and/or environmental attributes while complying with company's
guidelines and/or policies. Supervise the response to various data requests from senior management. Oversee database management for internal databases, creation of queries and programs macros
to assimilate data into a central file and maintains several pricing programs, files, and databases.

6. May oversee/perform other duties, as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

Education and Experience Required:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience or an Associate's degree and 8 years of experience from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, Engineering,
Business Administration or an equivalent discipline. Additionally, this position requires 5 years' experience in the following areas:

• Supervisory role
• Experience in wholesale commodity acquisition and supply. Similar experience with corporate purchasing and contract management, energy accounting and/or experience with SAP functions
related to purchasing, supply management and accounting may be partially substituted for experience with wholesale commodity markets
• Operational and economic characteristics of power plants
• Risk management techniques
• Fundamental and Technical Analysis

Skills/Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of commodity transactions.
• Advanced knowledge of ISO/RTO Operations and Markets, including electric energy and capacity markets, as well as, NYISO MIS and JESS.
• Advanced problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills. Able to analyze complex information, distill salient items and create appropriate action plans.
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite experience including MS Excel and Access
• Strong ability to work collaboratively and to lead a team to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Must be highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities and deliverables to successful completion.
• Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Able to make quick and precise decisions
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis and spreadsheets
• Strong Team Leadership
• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented
