Job Description:


Reporting to the Associate Provost for Student Success/Dean of Students and the Assoc. Dean of Students in the Division of Student Success, the Student Success Coordinator, will support the Associate Provost for Student Success, divisional projects, and the frontline operations for the Division of Student Success.


More specifically, the Student Success Coordinator will work closely with the Student Success Leadership Team on their calendar management, and projects relating to the division.


A major part of the Student Success Coordinator is working closely with the Student Success helpdesk workers to provide exceptional "customer service" to students, families, and campus partners.


This person will also be responsible for supporting students whose experiences and various social and emotional issues may impact academics. Referrals may be generated to other units/departments on campus to assist the need of the student.



Major Responsibilities:


Project Manager for Divisional Projects


  • Provide direct assistance to the Associate Provost of Student Success - calendar support, projects, etc.
  • Oversee key projects from the Student Success Leadership Team
  • Plan and coordinator divisional wide events, including training and development logistics
  • Coordinate the production and delivery of marketing and communication assets


Student Success Help Desk Operations Coordinator


  • Develop the Student Success Help Desk Operations - hiring of staff, and the development of protocols for the first tier of frontline support for students, families, and campus partners.

Back up Support for Purchasing:


  • Assist with budget management, allocation, and processing purchase orders (SmartBuy Plus), including operating funds.
  • Purchase and ordering of supplies for CCC.
  • Processing of American Express and Bank of America.
  • Journal transfers for various expenses between on-campus departments, etc.

Division of Student Success Operations Support


  • Oversight of key resource accounts
  • Scheduling software and computer upgrades.
  • Arrangements for fairs/events.
  • Booking room reservations and room changes as needed.
  • Updating notices on the Front Desk Q & A One Drive doc., re: new information, drop-in announcements/changes, other updates for the ASEC building, and general campus information.
  • Coordinator/administrative assistant positions will all be cross-trained within the division, allowing for continued department coverage in the absence of one's colleague.

Participate in the growth and development of the Center, Division, and Clark University


  • Support key initiatives and experiences within the Division of Student Success and the University, such as opening weekend, orientation, commencement, family weekend, traditional events, etc.
  • Serve as a responsible committee representative as requested.
  • Attend necessary meetings and inform staff regarding relevant information
  • Promote efficiency and courtesy throughout the University community and ensure that is consistent with the Division of Student Success mission and values.
  • Remain cognizant of the University's mission and identity, the constant promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the importance of student voices.
  • Communicate effectively with your supervisor concerning pertinent unit and/or University matters.
  • Other duties as assigned that are within the best interest of the division.



Requirements:


  • The successful candidate will possess a high school degree with 3 to 5 years experience, Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-3 years of relevant experience with administrative job functions.
  • Knowledge of appropriate software, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational, presentation, and time-management skills; strong human relations skills.

  • Possess collaborative disposition; possess the ability to think critically and strategically; demonstrate strong communication, manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively; and work well under pressure.
  • Communicate effectively with the supervisor concerning departmental and/or University matters.
  • Other duties as assigned that are within the best interest of the division.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality with institutional data and student information
