Position Summary

The Project Coordinator for the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management will provide administrative support and report to two Associate Directors within the department. All projects are seasonal and vary based on the academic calendar.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

The Project Coordinator reports to two individuals with different responsibilities.

Part I - Career Services Support

  • LEAD Mentorship Program
    • Assist with implementation and programing structure.
  • Career Programming
    • Collaborate in planning and execution of programs associated with student career preparation, student engagement and employer relations as needed.
  • Data Collection
    • Support tracking of career placement salary, and rankings data.
    • Assist in identifying student engagement and outcomes reporting opportunities through data collection, tracking, and analysis.

Part II - Student Services Support

  • Recruitment and Enrollment
    • Assist in execution of communication strategy.
  • Student Academic Records
    • Maintain student graduation plans generated by supervisor.
    • Respond to requests as needed by supervisor to maintain accurate student records.
  • Management of Student Rosters
    • Examine and uphold student lists in order to maintain accurate counts of first though fourth year students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of organizational skills including the ability to coordinate numerous tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of event planning and strong time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language using both the written and spoken word.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of daily issues.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • 2 years of work experience in an office support setting.
  • Customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Event planning experience.

Work Schedule

To be determined by supervisors. Average of 15 hours a week.

Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is ­­­­­­­­­­­­­$20.00 - $22.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
