Facebook is seeking a Strategic Partnership Manager Intern to develop and manage a partnership on one of our Platforms Partnerships teams. This person will work cross-functionally with our Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Operations teams to develop and launch new partnerships that create and scale new capabilities and user experiences. This is a hands-on, high execution role which requires excellent business and critical thinking skills to manage relationships with key partners, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and bring industry feedback and priorities back to the team to improve our products and strategy.We are looking for a strategic and results-driven person who is passionate about the way Facebook can work with partners in the payments, financial services, and commerce space to enable a variety of experiences for our community. As a global platform, it is our responsibility to establish meaningful relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial products and services.
  • Manage and build relationships with a variety of external partners in payments and financial services
  • Build strategy and programs to drive payments, commerce, and financial inclusion on Facebook
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, influence internal decisions, and deliver impactful, scalable solutions
  • Track, analyze, influence, and communicate key metrics to build opportunities and experiences that create scale and meaningful ecosystem value
  • Adapt quickly to product changes and nuances and deliver a strong, cohesive narrative externally to partners
  • Negotiate business and technical terms with partners to ensure mutual value as we launch new services
  • Support team with industry research and program management
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, an MBA degree
  • Proven track record of building cross functional relationships
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations targeted to a senior audience
  • Experience explaining technical solutions, establishing goals, developing opportunities, and providing reporting/dashboards to identify trends and improve the customer experience
  • Experience driving internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues
  • Experience working and negotiating with external business partners
  • Project management experience including leading multiple, cross-functional projects
  • Quantitative experience
  • Communication and presentation experience
  • Experience in adapting to a changing product and responding strategically to customer needs
  • Experience meeting multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
  • Strategic thinker who is comfortable in a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous start-up environment
  • 3+ years of account management, sales, partnerships, or business development experience
  • 3+ years of work experience with or within payments or finance services
  • Intent to return to full-time degree program after completion of the internship
