Job Description:

Key Responsibilities - 1st Shift

Certified Forkliftt Truck Operator. Certified Crane Operator.

Perform daily crane inspections and operate the coil bay crane properly. Perform written procedures clearly defined in the work instruction manual. Meet production standards set for the Steel Washer. Perform daily cycle counts and help determine cutting schedule. Adjust and coordinate multiple changeovers throughout the shift. Clean coils to specifications, ensuring consistent quality products and perform all quality inspections as required per ISO standards. Maintain all paperwork associated with the steel washing operation. Perform AMs on the steel washer and assist maintenance on repairs and cleaning as required. Maintain machine and work area through the 5S System. Work in a safe and efficient manner per the JSA. Unload/load steel trucks (coil, sheet, disc, etc.) and ensure correct paperwork is maintained. Unwrap coils in preparation for washing and/or cutting. Maintain warehouse organization in the Coil Bay. Backup the Lead Material Handler to receive coils into SBP as required. Be a solid team player and constantly pursue ways to help other team members and accelerate quality production.

  • Operates routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
  • Carry out routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
  • Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
  • Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Follow safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
  • Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
  • Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
