Stakeholder Communications Manager

Remote from Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah

Primary Job Purpose

This position leads collaborative communication efforts with business leaders and teams to build sophisticated communications plans, align messaging, and implement strategies and tactics to positively improve brand reputation among key internal and external partners. In addition, this role will align plans within Strategic Communications and work closely with business partners to resource projects appropriately and support communications and engagement activities cross functionally throughout the company.

General Functions and Outcomes

  • Develop communications strategies that reflect the business objectives and drive key team-member engagement.
  • Identify potential issues that could influence brand reputation; develop plans and implement communications strategies to mitigate associated organizational change issues.
  • Advise and collaborate with senior executives on communications issues.
  • Collaborate with business units to align, prioritize and complete plans.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment of communications initiatives from all business areas.
  • Write, review, edit and implement communications across channels to reach key partners.
  • Simplify existing communications; assess and optimize channels for effective communications.
Minimum Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to provide essential messaging and frameworks for sophisticated topics working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement communication plans.
  • Strong project management skills; able to collaboratively manage within cross-functional and matrixed teams
  • Organizational and business savvy, with a consistent track record of interacting with and influencing all levels of employees across an organization
  • Proven ability to provide detailed analysis and recommendations on complex communication issues
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities with external agencies and internal customers on the development, implementation, and execution of communications tailored to specific programs or issues.
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve sophisticated and sensitive issues with diplomacy and persuasiveness.
Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above

Stakeholder Communications Manager would have a bachelor's degree in communications or related field and 8 years of experience in communications or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Work primarily performed in office environment.
