Job Title: Staff Accountant (GL Specialist)

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Pay Rate: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour + Benefits

Schedule: M - F, 8 AM - 5 PM

Type: Direct Hire (100% on-site)

DUTIES

* Accountant to prepare reports and analyze financial information within the scope of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

* Responsible for monthly journal entries, general ledger (G/L) accounts analysis and reconciliations.

* Handle major accounts in the financial statements and accounting for various complex transactions.

* Prepare various month-end reports to support review of the financial statements by the Supervisor and above in accordance with the month-end close checklist.

* Interaction with affiliates, operations, sales and accounting/finance departments.

* Maintain daily cashbook, prepare cash reports and reconcile bank accounts.

* Prepare and maintain fixed asset records and capital projects tracking.

* Prepare forms and reports requested by various governmental agencies.

* Communicate and assist in preparing supporting documents for quarterly reviews and year- end financial audit.

* Assist with various special projects and other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university - required

2+ years of Accounting experience with Month-end closing reports, financial statements, journal entries, general ledger (G/L) accounts analysis and reconciliations - required
