Perm Staff Accountant Role

ON site Woburn, Ma

M-F 8-4:30PM or 8:30-5PM

37 ½ hours

$65K- $70K

Our client in Woburn, Ma an established insurance agency is looking for a permanent Staff Accountant to Join their team in Woburn, Ma. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and CFO and be responsible for assisting with entering journal entries, Debits, Credits, Receivables, Bank Deposits, Commissions and Reconciling Commissions, and Generating Commission Reports

Additional Duties:

• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger
• Reconcile bank statements
• Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with month-end and year-end closures
• Prepare documents for audits
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
• Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes

Requirements:

• Two years Accounting Experience
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
• Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Confidentiality and integrity
• BS in accounting
