Primary Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
- Manage cash receipts and the corresponding application to the customer account
- Review open receivables daily and make necessary communication with customers to facilitate prompt collection and achieve mutual understanding of account status.
- Work with quality department to manage workflow of credit memos on returned product
- Work closely with customer service and shipping on any issues with billing and/or invoices
- Credit Management
- Research new customers using Dun and Bradstreet and credit references on application. Recommend Credit Limit based on the research performed
- Maintain Credit Hold files and decide when to let shipments go to customers.
- Work with customers on their lines of credit.
- Accounting
- Ensure that all AR activities post to the general ledger correctly
- Perform some monthly close entries and account reconciliations
- Participate in the costing process in ERP for standard cost of SKUs
- Generate other internal reports and requests as assigned
- Continuous Improvement
