Staff Accountant - Remote

We are currently working with a start up technology organization, with a focus on sustainability, that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team on a temporary to hire basis. This role will join a team of 2 and report to the Accounting Manager. This position can be 100% remote but candidates are required to work east coast hours. This role may require traveling to the greater Boston area once a year for a team meeting.

Responsibilities:

• Support month end close
• Reconcile GL accounts
• Manage credit card transactions
• Prepare journal entries for cash transactions
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Invoicing and collections
• Prepare AP for approval
• Assist with forecasting revenue and expenses
• Sales and use tax returns
• Assist with financial statement audit
• Data analysis requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• 2-4+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite is a plus!
• Must be comfortable using Excel functions including pivot tables and vlookups
