GHD is looking for an experienced Sr Project Manager with a focus in Water/Wastewater/Recycled Water planning, design and construction. This is a project-focused role responsible for the management and delivery of projects across the water market sector and can be based out of our Concord, San Francisco, Roseville, or Santa Rosa offices.

Responsibilities of the position are:

  • Lead the condition assessment, planning, rehabilitation, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure projects
  • Develop new business opportunities and client relationships with municipal and utility agencies within the region
  • Communicate regularly with the client, acquiring two way feedback and input
  • Coordinate with Project Director, Business Group Leader, and Engineering Design Organization Leadership to assemble the project team and regularly review the project
  • Develop a clear project description that defines the scope of work, manage scope scheduled and budget
  • Deliver the project within budget and on time and to program in accordance with the work plan
  • Prepare and implement the project management plan including written briefs to team members
  • Conduct specific investigations, feasibility studies, functional and detailed designs
  • Build effective relationships with the GHD US West Water Market management team, North America and across GHD's global footprint
  • Develop, mentor, and assist staff in gaining experience and expertise in water services
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Civil Engineering Degree, Masters Degree preferred
  • Registered Engineer in the State of CA
  • 7 year's proven experience with solid technical knowledge and skills across the water industry, including a strong background in condition assessment, planning, rehabilitation, and design
  • Active in relevant professional Associations
